    It’s hard to describe how beautiful and interesting the North Vietnam is but we can say this fully Northern Vietnam Motorcycle Tour – 15  days is absolutely grand & incredible! We’ll visit all the beautiful places in Northwest and Northeast Vietnam, such as the stunning terraced rice fields in Mu Cang Chai, the unique Rock Plateau in Ha Giang – Dong Van, and the impressive Ban Gioc Waterfalls. We’ll also visit the largest natural lakes in Vietnam – Ba Be lake, and the famous Ha Long Bay, a natural world heritage site. Besides, the tour will offer plenty of chances to learn about the culture and tradition of the local tribes.This grand North Vietnam tour includes a mix of on and off-road riding, with stops to explore historical sites and local culture. Depending on what the riders want, we can adjust the difficulty level with more off-road or single tracks.     Day 1: Hanoi - Pu Luong Nature Reserve (190km)

    At around 8:00 am, our tour guide will come and pick you up from your hotel then we will take you all to our office, where you’ll receive a warm welcome and a detailed overview of the itinerary. Once geared up, we’ll start this Northern Vietnam motorcycle tour from the shop after the morning rush hour. Just slowly ride out of the busy but interesting Hanoi and our motorbike adventure will begin as we venture off the beaten path approximately after 30 km ride from the shop, exploring some easy off-roads before making a stop for lunch along the way in Hoa Binh.

    Continuing on a striking northwest route, we’ll pass through breathtaking limestone mountains until we reach a charming Thai village which located deep inside the enchanting Pu Luong Nature Reserve.  We’ll spend the night in a traditional house on stilts and have warm dinner with the friendly Thai People in the village.

    Day 2: Pu Luong - Phu Yen (170km)

    If you’re looking for an offroad motorcycle tour in Vietnam, the ride today is the right one you need. Right after leaving the family in Pu Luong, we will start the day with an easy offroad ride through villages of the Thai People up and down heading higher and higher to North of Vietnam. The day offers a lot of chances to take photos of beautiful nature and also a lot of chances to visits the friendly local people in North Vietnam. We finish this fun offroad tour today at the hotel in Phu Yen at around 4:30 pm.

    Day 3: Phu Yen - Ta Xua - Nghia Lo (160km)

    This day must be the highlight of this motorbike tour in North Vietnam, especially for off-road riding fans. On this day, we’ll ride mostly on twisty roads and off-road trails, offering stunning views of green and cloudy mountains, especially in Ta Xua mountain. After leaving Ta Xua’s dinosaur spine, we’ll continue our off-road motorcycle tour up to Northern Vietnam, reaching the beautiful Nghia Lo valley. We will end the day at the beautiful farm and stay with a family of the Thai people.

    Day 4: Nghia Lo - Mu Cang Chai (180km)

    Today is another great day with more off-road riding again or if you’re too tired we can ride on smooth windy roads in another option. Whatever options you choose to ride with Vietnam Motorbike Tour Expert, we will show you some of the most scenic beautiful landscape in Northern Vietnam, teabreak on the top of mountain, enjoy the beautiful rice terraces fields before we arrive at our hotel

    Day 5: Mu Cang Chai - Sapa (160km)

    An easy day on smooth windy road (we can also do more offroading if you want). Riding up to O Qui Ho pass, which is known as one of the 4 best beautiful passes in North Vietnam. Take a rest to picture on the top of the pass (around 2000 meters above sea level), then start going down to Sapa, a beautiful and interesting touristic town. This is short and easy but it could be the highlight of this northern Vietnam motorcycle tour. We will stay in a hotel in town and spend a joyful night in this touristy town.

    Day 6: Relax in Sapa - (km)

    After 5 day riding on and offroad, Sapa is an ideal place to spend an easy day here. It’s a small town located on the Hoang Lien mountain ranges, with the height of around 1600m above the sea level and surrounded by some breathtaking valleys and beautiful villages of the hill tribes so there could be many interesting things to do in Sapa. If you’d like to ride more, the guide team of Vietnam Motorbike Tour Expert can also offer a nice motorcycle ride through some remote villages nearby Sapa to see the rice terraces…or visits 4 different ethnic people in Sapa.

    Day 7: Sapa - Bac Ha (160km)

    Saying good bye to Sapa at around 8:30 am, we’ll continue this Northern Vietnam motorcycle tour by hitting the road all the way down from Sapa on another side of the Hoang Lien mountain range. It also offers a great view of nature with more terrace rice fields. The motorbike ride in the morning is almost on the smooth roads along the Chinese border through some rustic villages and nice terrace fields.

    We’ll ride up and up again to another higher town in Bac Ha distric where you can have some fun offroad through coin and plum plantation and crossing through some rustic villages of the H’Mong people We will arrive in the little town of Bac Ha at around 4: 00 pm. Check in a standard hotel in town.

     

    Day 8: Bac Ha - Ha Giang (180km)

    This motorcycle ride to Ha Giang today gives you a completely different taste of riding and different views of nature. It has more off-road motorbike riding options and also offers a more wild and green nature… In addition, the ride via Hoang Su Phi could give you one of the best view of rice terraces if you come at the right time, it will surely make you feel worthy to be here with the motorbikes. This could be the highlight of this motorbike tour in North Vietnam. We’ll arrive Ha Giang at around 5:00 pm. Hotel stay.

    Day 9: Ha Giang - Meo Vac (180km)

    Ha Giang – Dong Van – Meo Vac becomes a must see in Vietnam now and today we will experience all the best of this Ha Giang loop. You can stop anywhere during the ride today to take the picture of majestic nature! The whole trip today offers unreal scenery that can make you surprise at every corner! This is surely one of the best days of this Northern Vietnam motorcycle tour.

    Day 10: Meo Vac - Cao Bang (200km)

    Leaving the amazing rock plateau of Ha Giang, we will head to the eastern of Vietnam to Cao Bang – where you can experience another beauty of North Vietnam. The motorbike tour today offers quite different view of nature in another part of North Vietnam where the mountains are more green but lower with more villages and ethnic people.

    Cao Bang is one of the attractive destinations in North Vietnam that Vietnam Motorbike Tour Expert would like always to ride motorbike to. Know as the “High Plateau” – Cao Bang is located in far North Eastern highlands of Vietnam that’s just next to China. Almost the area of Cao Bang is on the high mountains which is around 600 m to 1500 m above the sea level. It’s the perfect land to have ideal motorcycle trips on the winding mountain back-roads with scenic view of mountain. It’s no hesitant to say that the motorbike routes around this area are always to be some of the best routes for motorbike touring in Vietnam.

    Day 11: Cao Bang - Cao Bang (190km)

    The ride today is another highlight of this North Vietnam motorcycle tour. We’ll motorbike on almost quiet backroads through some peaceful villages with green peaceful view of nature and countryside. After having lunch nearby the Ban Gioc waterfalls, we’ll take some pictures of this largest waterfall in Vietnam before heading on another scenic road back to Cao Bang. Arrive at Cao Bang city at around 4:30. Check in the hotel then spend the rest time of the day to try some local beer in the city.

    Day 12: Cao Bang - Lang Son (160km)

    Today’s ride is an easy ride but quite interesting, we will experience the iconic historical Highway 4, passing through the notable Dong Khe town, known for the Battle of Route Coloniale 4 during the Indochina War (the war with the French)

    The Battle of Dong Khe marked a significant conflict that occurred from September 15 to September 18, 1950, in Dong Khe, Vietnam. The encounter concluded with a decisive French defeat and a victorious outcome for the Viet Cong forces.

    Upon reaching Lang Son around noon, We can indulge in a leisurely late lunch before exploring this bustling city, which has evolved into a prominent trading hub between China and Vietnam. Having a great chance to experience the interesting of the local market where you can see the daily life of the local people and you can do shopping at some of the markets, where affordable Chinese products are available. Or just walk around the city of Lang Son enjoy some local food or cold street beer! We stay in a nice hotel in the city

    Day 13: Lang Son - Ha Long city (170km)

    This motorbike ride to Halong Bay promises a diverse and captivating experience, providing unique views of North Vietnam’s stunning landscapes. As we venture onward, the terrain gradually shifts to lower elevations, revealing an array of fascinating sights to behold. The morning ride unfolds on relatively flat roads, meandering through quaint towns and peaceful villages surrounded by picturesque hills and lush rice fields.

    In the afternoon, our motorcycle tour will trace the scenic coastal roads, leading us to the vibrant city of Ha Long. We end the ride at around 4:30 pm at a hotel in the city.

    Day 14: Ha Long bay discovery - (km)

    We will start this relaxing day with a buffet breakfast in the hotel, and then we can walk around to enjoy the modern and young city of Halong. Then at around 10:30, The guide team of Vietnam Motorbike Tour Expert will take you with all your luggage to get on a luxury cruise on Ha Long bay. We will do check in at the cruise at around 11:30 am and then we will have lunch on the cruise and spend the rest of the day to discover the beauty of Ha Long with a lots of activities with the local tour guide on the cruise such as do kayaking, swimming, visiting the cave…or just relax on the comfortable chair and enjoy the landscape of Ha Long from the rooftop of the Cruise.

    Day 15: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi (160km)

    After enjoy the sunrise on the sea and doing Taichi (morning exercise) then having breakfast on the cruise, we will keep cruising around the see another beautiful part of Halong and then after the brunch, we will say good bye to the cruise and back in land and take a short bus ride back to Hanoi. This amazing Northern Vietnam motorcycle tour will end at your hotel in Hanoi at around 4:00 pm.

    Booking Conditions

    Reservation Process:

    Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of the deposit. To secure your reservation, we request a small deposit, typically ranging from 10% to 30% of the total tour cost.

    Payment Policies:

    When you’re ready to book a tour, we will send you a secure payment link, allowing you to pay the required deposit using your credit cards (5% will be surcharged for the bank service fee).

    The balance will be paid in full at our shop just before starting the tour. You can pay in cash (USD or Euro) or by credit card (5% will be surcharged for the bank fee if you pay by credit card).

    License & Health Requirements:

    To legally ride a motorbike in Vietnam as a tourist, you need your original home country motorbike license along with an International Driving Permit (IDP) issued under the 1968 Vienna Convention. A car license alone or an IDP not from the 1968 convention will not be sufficient, and riding without the proper documentation can invalidate your travel insurance and result in fines.

    Your original home country motorbike license: This must be a valid license that specifically includes a motorcycle endorsement.
    An IDP issued under the 1968 Vienna Convention: This is the most crucial document for tourists.

    Your IDP must be issued by a country that is a signatory to the convention. You can get this from your home country before you travel.
    Carry both documents: You must have both your original license and the IDP with you at all times when riding.

    Vietnam Motorbike Tour Expert do require all participants to be in good health, physically fit, and capable of riding a motorbike.

    Cancellation and Refund Policy:
    • The deposit was not refundable but you can postpone the booking to another time.
    • No refunds in case of bad weather conditions and customers’ reasons. Tour may be delayed by adverse weather conditions, but we take no responsibility in case of tour cancellation
    • If your bike has a technical brake down, we will replace it with the same type of bike and our guide/mechanic will attempt to fix your bike within a day. For technical reasons, your tour may be shortened, You will get a refund for the day you can’t finish
    • If you need to cancel your booking, you have the option to postpone to another time or transfer it to another person. Please note that you will be responsible for any associated administration costs, and it is your responsibility to ensure that your nominee pays the full amount.
